Cottonwood Creek Ranch provides a full range of services for hunters as well as those who just seek a relaxing stay in the Hill Country – as seen on Hunt TV’s, “Spiritual Outdoor Adventures Show.” Come enjoy yourself on our 800 acres near Gatesville, Texas, hunting for trophy whitetail deer, Rio Grande turkeys, any of our exotic animals, or simply getting away from the lights and noise of the city to see the Milky Way in the night sky and watch the brush come alive with animals in the morning.

Our diverse terrain of canyons, hills and pastureland plays host to big whitetail deer along with breathtaking exotic animals from Africa and India. See our onsite lodge and tour everything else our ranch has to offer. From one-day hunts to corporate outings, Cottonwood Creek Ranch is your outdoor destination headquarters.

Lodging

Lodging is available onsite in a fully equipped four-bedroom, three-bath, ranch house with cable tv, as well as a new three-bedroom, two-bath, modular home. The home’s provide accommodations for up to four people or three couples. Both houses are fully furnished including bedding, bath towels and supplies, and has a complete kitchen. Amenities include a barbecue grill, fire pit, front porch, cable tv, and more.

The home is available for corporate retreats and non-hunters, as well.

Guide Fees

Guide Fees $125.00 per day per person/non-hunters and guests $175.00

What’s Included:
– Field dressing
– Caping out animals for taxidermy
– Quartering up animals
– Guiding one-on-one

Fishing

There are two half acre tanks (ponds) stocked with bass, crappie, and catfish, which are available for hunters or lodgers during your time on the ranch. Bring your fishing gear and enjoy your time, and you can even plan a fish fry that night. Fishing is also available for clients on the 1.75 miles of the Leon River that forms the eastern border of Cottonwood Creek Ranch.

Hiking and Nature

The terrain on Cottonwood Creek Ranch’s 800 acres is diverse, on the northeastern edge of the Texas Hill Country, with deep canyons, creek bottoms, rolling hills, and open range pastureland. Roads and trails through the ranch offer a chance to hike and view the outstanding plants and animals on the ranch. Excursions should, of course, be limited to periods when others are not hunting. At those times, blinds can even be used for bird and animal viewing and photography.

Cottonwood Creek Ranch Game Guidelines

– A deposit of $1500 is required at booking to secure hunting date.
– If hunter harvests 150 BC buck or up, lodging and guide fee will be waived.
– If hunter doesn’t have opportunity to harvest animal that is being hunted, all that will be owed for hunt is guide fee and lodging per days hunted.
– If hunter has opportunity to shoot at hunted animal and declines, he owes full amount for hunt price.
– If hunter shoots at animal hunted and hits it, full hunt price will be charged for said animal.  Every effort will be made to find deer. If found at a later date, we will contact hunter to arrange delivery of horns.
