We are a family owned business, and have provided hunting adventures for over 95 years, spanning six generations. Over 10,000 acres of our ranch has been high-fenced since the 1930’s, and our whitetail deer have been managed by wildlife biologists since 1983. Natural forage is supplemented with minerals and nutrients, resulting in healthier deer and larger antlers.
Hunters travel from far and wide to hunt at Barnes Keith Ranch. Our family is committed to making our ranch the best hunting facility in the state of Texas. Archery hunters have a great chance of taking deer that qualify for Pope and Young status without trophy fees. Tom Nelson, host of the American Archer, films a bow hunting video for The Outdoor Channel at the ranch each year. A quote from a recent TV show, “There is no place like Barnes Keith Ranch in America!”
Barnes Keith Ranch is located in the Texas Hill Country, 75 miles northwest of Austin in San Saba county. It consists of 12,000 acres of prime hunting territory with 11 miles of Colorado river frontage. The combination of water, feeding areas and cover located within our Ranch, make an ideal habitat for whitetail deer, Rio Grande turkey, huge feral hogs and exotic game.
